Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Hey Homeschoolers is dedicated to creating a fun and safe experience for our readers while they're online. We follow the terms and policies below to insure that we carry through with this promise.

When I comment on an article, I am asked to provide my email address. Do I have to do this? Who will see my email address if I do enter it?
You are not required to provide your email address or any other personal information when commenting on content. However, if you choose to, the information will not be displayed, shared, or used to contact you by anyone in Hey Homeschoolers. The only person who will see your email address is the site administrator.

If I contribute an article by following the steps here, what information do you collect and what do you do with it?
When you contribute an article, Hey Homeschoolers will contact you back with information about whether your article will be published or not. That is the only time we will contact you unless otherwise indicated. When we publish your article on the website, we will add your first name and last initial at the end of the article to acknowledge that you wrote it. None of your other information will be disclosed to anyone on the site. Once you post something on HH, it becomes our property to edit, feature, or publish.

When I join the staff, is my email address and personal information safe? Hey Homeschoolers will not disclose your email address or any of your personal information to the public or to businesses. When you sign up, you get a special email address (yourname@heyhomeschoolers.com) that you may or may not disclose on your personal homepage, it's up to you. Hey Homeschoolers cannot take any responsibility for emails sent to that address. We will not contact you with any commercial interests (i.e. asking you to buy something) but by joining our staff you agree that it's OK to be contacted with our monthly staff updates and other HH emails.

What happens to articles I post when I join the staff?
When you post an article on HH, it will not be published immediatly. Our editors will review it, make any changes needed, and then either publish it or contact you with some questions about the material. Once you post something, it becomes our property to edit, feature, or publish (unless you specify otherwise).

If I join the staff, will the other staff members be able to contact me?
Your head artist/reporter and the Editors of HH will be able to contact you, but no one else in the staff will be able to unless you personally give them your email address.

And Finally...
