Did you know about four trillion plastic bags are made every year? On average, only around 1% of them are recycled. Many of these bags are not biodegradable. It can take about 10 - 1,000 years for a plastic bag to completely disappear. Plastic bags take up space in the landfills, create litter and often get washed in the ocean (producing a hazard to marine wildlife). Also, plastic bags aren’t made from a renewable source – they are produced from petroleum and this creates more greenhouse gasses. There are three main actions you can do with plastic bags:
Recycle it!
- Some stores have recycling programs for you to drop off your plastic bags.
Reuse it!
- You can use them for lining garbage cans, picking up your puppy's poop, art projects, etc.
Reduce it!
- Want to go completely without plastic bags or reduce the need to use them? Buy reusable bags! Many stores carry their own brands for a reasonable price.

I love this! Now I know how I
I love this! Now I know how I can redice them, where they go, where I can get reusable ones, and where to recycle them! Thanks alot and I love this!
