Okay, I was walking with a good friend of mine to Menchis, across the street where I live. I live on a divided highway, so this made her rather nervous. Going to the yogurt store, she was fine - because my mom drove us on the way to her Zumba class. Walking home, however, was anothert story.....
Written with my friend. Took about 20 minutes, or so. Written while listening to Ice Planet, War Of Angels, Love And Loss, and The Battle Vs. Dark And Light, all by Two Steps From Hell. Enjoy our sugar buzz induced story.....

I breathed in and out slowly, watching the cars pass by. It was just a cross walk, right? With its perfectly painted white lines, it was like a hazard to me…Watch out, a cross walk!
My friend was already starting to walk. She turned around, noticing I wasn’t next to her. “Hey, you coming?” she called, making an invitation for me with a swing of her arm.
I looked at the sign across the street. The light had not switched to the little white man, yet. Should we walk?
I looked at the impatient cars in the street that were waiting for the lights to turn green. Perhaps I should just let them go anyways, and figure out why the heck my feet won’t move. “Ah…lets just wait!” I screamed at my friend, who was watching as impatiently as the cars. Darn it, move you feet!
“Dude, red lights make car stop. Feet make you move. Go!” she replied, turning around completely and resting her hands on her hips, as if she knew I would take a while.
Somehow, I knew she was right. In a way. The lights for all the lanes were red, and the cars were stopped, but…But the little man didn’t say it was okay yet!
All my life, I have grown up on streets where people will run you over just for the fun of it. This makes me way more precautious; plus, the fact my dad was a cop, so…Yeah, he is a safety freak.
I looked up once more - the sign had changed… “Run!” I screamed and dashed across the street, towards the other side as cars began to move again…do I look for danger, or what?
“Idiot!” my friend yelled, and dashed after me. She spat an insult at an uncareful car that must have gotten too close for her comfort. God, she was so aggressive and mood-swingy. Like me…Minus the mood swing thinger, though.
We got to the other side, and I breathed a sigh of relief as my feet hit the sweet solid Earth. Man, I love dirt. “Thank God, we made it!” I breathed while releasing a laugh. That was…HILARIOUS! I do enjoy tormenting myself…yeah, I got some issues.
“Moron,” my friend snapped.
“Shut up, I hate divided highways!”
“I live on this thing!”
“Duh, you do! Your house is just around the freaking corner!” I pointed out.
She surprised me by laughing. However, knowing her, I knew she laughed at almost anything. “Yeah…”
