Here is a speech I had to give to my class. My topic was my 4-H experience. Here it is!!!

Hi! I am going to talk about my 4-H experience today. I belong to the Los Ranchos 4-H club. The four H’s represent Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. It’s part of a pledge to do the best we can in everything. In our club the offices that I have held are treasurer and president. Currently I am the president. This is my 4^th year in 4-H and I have enjoyed everything I have done with it. There is a wide range of projects for anyone to choose from. My projects include Cake Decorating, Photography, Poultry, Duded Up Denim, and Scrapbooking. Everything can be entered in the county fair. Cakes, Scrapbooks, Photos, Poultry, and any other projects you have done following the project book.

In 4-H, we also try and do many service projects to help out in the community. We’ve done Master Gardeners Service Project, where we help harvest vegetables, Comcast Cares Day where we clean up a school or do something for community supported programs, Road Runner Food Bank, where you go and sort or package food for homeless shelters, Ronald McDonald House, where we cooked for all the people that we staying there, and Joy Junction, where we held a Christmas party and had games for everybody there, especially the children.

County Contests are very fun. County Contests are contests for all the 4-H clubs in the country to participate in. There is a wide variety of contests. Last year was the first year I participated in them. I did Speech Arts, Favorite Foods, and Open Contests. In Speech Arts, I did a talk on how to raise chickens from day old chicks and I won 1^st place out of my age group. In Favorite Foods, I made Tortellini Soup and won 1^st place out of my age group.

There are many more fun and exciting activities that I could share with anyone who is interested at another time.
