Crosswalk - A story of Bravery

Okay, I was walking with a good friend of mine to Menchis, across the street where I live. I live on a divided highway, so this made her rather nervous. Going to the yogurt store, she was fine - because my mom drove us on the way to her Zumba class. Walking home, however, was anothert story.....

Written with my friend. Took about 20 minutes, or so. Written while listening to Ice Planet, War Of Angels, Love And Loss, and The Battle Vs. Dark And Light, all by Two Steps From Hell. Enjoy our sugar buzz induced story.....

I breathed in and out slowly, watching the cars pass by. It was just a cross walk, right? With its perfectly painted white lines, it was like a hazard to me…Watch out, a cross walk!

My friend was already starting to walk. She turned around, noticing I wasn’t next to her. “Hey, you coming?” she called, making an invitation for me with a swing of her arm.

Roxy: A Fable

ROXY: A Tale of Wings, Wonder, and Worth

Roxy spread out her fine blue wings.
“Flutter, flutter, stretch, stretch,” she said as she tumbled out of bed. “Today will be a fine day; I hear it on the wind.”
She dressed in her favorite blue dress that matched her wings oh so well. While singing a sweet fairy tune in her sweet fairy voice she brushed a shell-comb through her curly gold hair and gazed out her window.
Below her little flower home was a crowd of fairies. Sitting in the center of the laughing crowd was none other than Clara herself. Clara had pretty pink wings and beautiful brown hair. She was as petite and graceful as Roxy could never be.  Roxy shook with such jealousy she nearly snapped the comb in half. “So much for a fine day,” she thought bitterly.

Lusia

A short story I composed 100% out of compound sentences for school. Enjoy! Comment please :)

Lusia

Lusia was angel, but she was not the winged kind. Lusia was a shadow, yet she walked in the light. She was a breeze in the trees and she was the sun in your hair. She never smiled nor did she ever frown. Lusia was angel, but she was not the winged kind.

Lusia saw a castle on the distant shore; the castle was a thing of forgotten fairy lore. She climbed into the boat and she looked fearfully into the deep water. She grabbed the oar and paddled; Lusia paddled for her life.

The Spectacular RV Trip :)

Hey Guys, Sorry I haven't been posting...Been busy with school. Well here is a story I had to write. It took me a while, but I wrote it with joy. Enjoy Smile

The Ghostbusting Class

Jessie, Sarah, and Lizzie sat together one evening in the school auditorium watching a play. “Want to go explore the seventh graders’ part of the school?” asked Lizzie, an eleven year old fifth grader.
    “Sure!” Sarah said.
“Sounds good,” Jessie agreed. “I’ve never been in that part.”
“I can’t wait to be a seventh grader!” exclaimed Sarah.
“Me neither!” Lizzie said, almost jumping out of her seat. She glanced to her right and saw a teacher heading their way. “Uh oh! We’re probably being too loud!” she whispered urgently. They sat in their seats, pretending to pay attention to the play until the teacher walked away.

sailing story

NOTE: i cant remember why i wrote this, but i did and i thought you guys might like it.

Over the summer I spent a lot of time at a sailing camp called Spars in St. Augustine. Most of the time there was very low wind and it was sort of boring but I still had fun because I was out on the water. But one day was different. It started out like a normal day. I got to the camp early so I could float in the river and chat with my friends. Once everyone got there we assembled the boats and packed our lunches.
There was no wind at all so we ended up hopping out of our boats and swam them part of the way. After we floated through the narrow harbor filled with boats, the wind started to gust. (That’s bad because the boom swings around a lot). Since we had a few inexperienced sailors with us, we landed on a little island on the intercoastal waterway to eat lunch.

a really old story, dont remember why i wrote it, but here it is.

As we climbed into the chairlift at Pats Peak, I could see it would be perfect for skiing. It was slightly snowing, and not a patch of ice to be found. Perfect weather for a perfect birthday! (I wish) My friends and I were going on a ski trip as my birthday present, so we got to the ski resort early. While my friends got their skis on, I tried my new goggles. They were almost perfect, except for the fact that they cut off my peripheral vision.

The Monkey, the Giraffe, and the Elephant

Once in a big, lush rainforest, where lots of good things to eat grew there was a little monkey named Tomu who was always being picked on by Rita the most beautiful giraffe and Rudy the biggest elephant. “ Ha, ha, ha you are so small you cannot do anything we can do.” they boasted. “I can, I can,” Tomu said, “ I can do anything you can do.” “Then prove it,” said Rita. “ I will.” said Tomu. To prove that Tomu could do anything Rita and Rudy could do he had to do three tests. The first test was to spray water on Rita, Rudy made it up. Tomu walked straight to the river and filled his mouth with water and spit the water as hard as he could, and sprayed it straight onto the dirt beneath them. “Oh yah the dirt is me,” they teased. The second test was to stretch your neck as far as it could go and eat some leaves of the tallest tree; this was Rita’s idea.

The Beautiful Stream

Their once was a great Severa village, whose chief was no other, than Makopati. There where seven families, seven children in each, seven days in a week, seven weeks in a month, seven months in a year and seven years in a decade. “Severa” in Ser (which is the language they speak in Severa) means “seven everything”. Now, Chief Makopati had seven daughters, one was a beautiful girl named Chipora. Chipora loved to sing and dance. She also loved to trick people. One day the royal bone reader came and said, “ Your youngest daughter will tell a great lie.” “ You mean Chipora, you are lying to me.” The chief protested. “ GUARDS!!!” he shouted, “ throw this man into the dungeon.” The guards did as they where told for they did not want to disappoint their king by saying that the bone reader might be right. The next day the chief ordered the guards to tell his people he was in search of a bone reader.
